Wake-Up Clean-Up
Would you like to play an active role in making the Brussels-Capital Region cleaner and more pleasant to live in? As a citizen, you have the power to act and plan actions in your street, neighbourhood or community.
What exactly is the Wake Up Clean Up programme?
This movement was born out of a vision: that of a neighbourhood where every citizen plays an active role in preserving their environment.
We have set up two models to make your life easier:
- Become a Cleanliness Ambassador:
By becoming an ambassador, you become a key partner in achieving this goal.
Your mission? Pick up litter, of course, but also inspire and educate those around you about the importance of a clean environment and sustainable practices. This initiative is based on a relationship of trust between you and us.
- You organise or take part in one or more clean-ups whenever you want. You are completely autonomous.
- You receive your own equipment: the free clean-up kit.
- You also have access to the team functionality, which lets you team up with other ambassadors.
- Organise clean-ups:
This option has been designed for larger groups who want to get involved on a more occasional basis. As an organisation or group (association, school, group of citizens, etc.), you have the power to take action and organise large-scale clean-ups. We'll lend you all the equipment you need for a successful clean-up and take care of all the logistics of collecting your bags! Bruxelles-Propreté can also provide guidance upon request.
